Terms of Service
Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Leyro in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please take a moment to read them — they are written to be clear.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Leyro. If you are using Leyro on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Vault Co. LLC ("Leyro", "we", "us", "our"). By using the service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to them.
Description of service
Leyro is a calm operating system for everyday life. It provides tools for managing personal and family documents, tracking renewals and subscriptions, organising household services, and building financial awareness. The service is available on the web at app.getleyro.com and through mobile applications on Android and iOS.
Depending on your plan, Leyro may include:
- A document vault with OCR extraction and AI-assisted data recognition
- Renewal and subscription tracking with automated reminders
- Services management with bank statement import and recurring charge detection
- Calendar integration with Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook
- A family workspace for shared document and service management
- An AI assistant for everyday life-admin questions
- Push and email notifications for expiry and billing alerts
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and will give reasonable notice where it is practical to do so.
An independent platform
Leyro is an independent private software platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government, government authority, embassy, or document-issuing body. Storing a passport, visa, licence, or identity document in Leyro does not create, renew, or validate that document — Leyro simply helps you keep track of it.
Reminders and notifications
Reminders, expiry alerts, and renewal notifications are convenience features designed to support you — not to replace your own record-keeping.
You remain solely responsible for monitoring your own expiry dates, renewals, obligations, payments, and deadlines. Notifications depend on factors outside our control — including email delivery, device settings, network availability, and the accuracy of the information you enter. Leyro is not liable for any missed date, lapsed document, or consequence arising from a reminder that was delayed, not delivered, or not seen.
Eligibility
To use Leyro you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the service under applicable law
- Provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account
Leyro is not intended for use by children under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will close their account. The Kids section of the Family plan is managed entirely by adult account holders on behalf of their children — children do not create Leyro accounts.
Sanctions and export compliance
You may not access or use Leyro if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or organised under the laws of any country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions or embargoes, or if you are identified on any applicable restricted-party or sanctions list. By using Leyro, you confirm that none of these restrictions apply to you and you agree to comply with all applicable export-control and sanctions laws.
Your account
Account creation
You must provide a valid email address and create a secure password, or authenticate through a supported sign-in provider. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
Account security
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- Notify us promptly at hello@getleyro.com if you suspect unauthorised access
- We recommend enabling two-factor authentication for additional protection
- Do not share your account credentials with anyone
Device security
You are responsible for securing the devices you use to access Leyro — including screen locks, passcodes, biometric protection, and keeping device software up to date. Where you enable biometric sign-in, that authentication is performed locally by your device's operating system; Leyro does not receive or store biometric data.
Account accuracy
You agree to keep your account information accurate and up to date. You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their authorisation, or use a false identity.
Beta access
During the beta period, account creation may require approval from our team. We may approve or decline any account application without providing a reason.
Subscription plans and billing
Plans
Leyro offers the following subscription plans: Free, Pro ($12/month), Family ($24/month), Leyro Care ($18/month), and Business ($79/month). Plan features and limits are described on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
Billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe
- You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
- All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
- Taxes may apply depending on your location
Family plan seats
The Family plan includes 4 seats by default. Additional seats can be purchased at $3 per seat per month, billed with proration via Stripe.
Free tier limits
Free accounts are subject to usage limits, including document count, service count, and AI message quotas. These limits are enforced server-side and may be updated at any time.
Cancellation and refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- We do not offer refunds for partial months except where required by law
- On cancellation, your account reverts to the Free plan and paid features become unavailable
Plan changes
Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never store your full card number or security code. By providing payment details you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Leyro only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Upload documents or content you do not have the right to store or share
- Use Leyro to store, distribute, or process illegal content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or other users' accounts
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of Leyro
- Use the service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Upload documents containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Use the AI assistant for purposes outside of personal life and household management
Violation of these acceptable use terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
Your content and data
Ownership
You retain full ownership of all documents, data, and content you upload to Leyro. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
Licence to us
By uploading content to Leyro, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This processing may include extracting information from your documents using secure third-party AI and vision APIs, as described in our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account.
Your responsibility
- You are responsible for the content you upload and for having the right to store it
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you store in Leyro
- Leyro is a storage and organisational tool — we do not verify the authenticity of documents
- You should keep independent backups of important documents outside of Leyro
Data backup
We take reasonable measures to maintain the availability and integrity of your data, including regular backups. Even so, we recommend keeping your own copies of important documents. We are not liable for data loss resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Document scanning and AI features
OCR and extraction
When you upload a document, Leyro uses optical character recognition and AI vision technology to extract useful information such as names, numbers, dates, and amounts. To do this, document content may be processed through secure third-party AI and vision APIs. This processing is performed solely to help you organise and track your documents.
AI assistant
The Leyro AI assistant is designed to help with everyday life-admin questions — documents, renewals, services, and household administration. It is not designed for general knowledge, legal advice, financial advice, or medical advice.
AI-extracted data and AI assistant responses may contain inaccuracies. Always verify important information independently. Leyro's AI features are assistive tools — they do not constitute professional advice of any kind, and you should not rely on them for critical decisions.
AI limitations
- OCR extraction accuracy depends on document quality and format
- AI assistant responses are generated by language models and may be inaccurate
- Do not rely solely on Leyro for critical document management or financial decisions
- We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-extracted or AI-generated information
AI features may change
AI is an evolving technology. The AI capabilities within Leyro — and the third-party providers behind them — may evolve, improve, change, or be discontinued over time. We may adjust, replace, or remove AI features as the technology and our service develop.
Family accounts
Admin responsibilities
The family space admin is responsible for managing membership, controlling access, and ensuring that all members agree to these Terms before being invited. By inviting someone to your family space, you confirm that you have their consent to share their data within the space.
Member data
Content added to the shared family space is visible to the admin and all accepted members. Members should not add personal information to the family vault that they do not consent to share with the admin.
Children's data
The Kids section allows admins to store information about children for household management purposes. As the admin, you are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate parental or guardian authority to store this information, and that you handle it in accordance with applicable laws.
Removal
The admin may remove any member at any time. Removed members immediately lose access to shared family data. Members may leave a family space at any time from their account settings.
Intellectual property
Leyro's property
Leyro, its logo, design, software, features, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Vault Co. LLC. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or branding.
Feedback
If you share feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Leyro, you grant us an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that feedback in any way — including to improve the product — without any obligation to compensate you.
Disclaimers and limitations of liability
Service provided as-is
Leyro is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Security
While we implement industry-standard security measures to protect the service and your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the service with that understanding.
No professional advice
Leyro is an organisational and management tool only. Nothing in the service constitutes legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, insurance advice, or medical advice. Always consult a qualified professional for advice in these areas.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vault Co. LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business opportunities.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including internet outages, third-party service failures, natural disasters, or acts of government.
Termination
Termination by you
You may close your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone. Account deletion is subject to a 30-day grace period, during which you may cancel the request. After 30 days, your account and all associated data are permanently deleted.
Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms or our acceptable use policy
- We are required to do so by law
- Your account is used for fraudulent or illegal activity
- Continued provision of the service to you is no longer commercially viable
Where possible, we will give you reasonable notice before termination and allow you to export your data.
Effect of termination
On termination, your right to access the service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will continue to apply.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Leyro shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Arab Emirates.
Before initiating any formal dispute, we encourage you to contact us at hello@getleyro.com so we can try to resolve the matter informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes amicably within 30 days of receiving written notice.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect
- Show an in-app notice the next time you sign in
Your continued use of Leyro after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept them. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the service and may close your account.
